The Four Seasons Resort Bali is located on the
southern tip of the island of Bali on the northeast slopes of the Bukit
peninsula. Luxuriously appointed private Villas are built into a gently terraced
hillside named Bukit Permai, which means beautiful hill, with spectacular views
of Jimbaran Bay and Bali's sacred Mount Agung the thirty-five acres of superbly
landscaped tropical gardens gracefully descend to a sandy beach. The resort is
only a 15 minute ride from Denpasar's Ngurah Rai International Airport and
ideally situated for siteseeing and shopping excursions.
Warung Mie: Is
casual Restaurant at the Resort offers exotic and traditional noodle dishes from
Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. Located near the lobby in Village
Square III, this informal venue is set beside a
water Garden. Guests may dine at the large antique communal dining table
from Java, which seats 22 guests and watch activity in the open Kitchen, noodle
Bar, where the chefs prepare each dish to order.
Additional deck seating at smaller tables on
the edge of the water garden is also available.Warung Mie is open for dinner
from 5:30-9:30 every night. Seats: 46.
Pool Terrace Cafe: The
menu features salads, sandwiches, entrees, Spa cuisine, Indonesian and Asian
favourites. Open from 11:00-6:30, the Pool Terrace Café. Seats: 56.
Taman Wantilan Restaurant: Appropriately
named as a special meeting place in a secluded Garden.
This fine Restaurant is situated 98 feet 30 m above the shoreline and
offers an excellent view of Jimbaran Bay and Bali's distant mountain range with
two open-sided pavilions and sea breezes to ensure comfortable dining
year-round. The innovative menu offers a choice of contemporary Western fare,
Indonesian specialties and an inspired selection of nutritionally balanced
healthier fare. Breakfast served from 6:30-11:00 and dinner from 06:00-10:00.
Piano music from Monday to Saturday and Keroncong band every Sunday. The main
dining area has seating for 104 and a private dining pavilion for 14 guests is
also available.
The Terrace Bar & Lounge: Enjoy your favourite
cocktail or afternoon tea at The Terrace Bar and Lounge. The Lounge is open from
12 noon. Midnight with seating in the bar area for 27 and in the lounge for 36.
Pantai Jimbaran or PJ's: Offers al fresco beachside
dining at its finest. Mediterranean-inspired dishes, seafood specialties, pizza
from a wood-burning oven and cool refreshments are served in the breezy
beachside pavilions. PJ's is open from 11:00-10:00 for meals and has seating for
120 guests.
Villa Service: Breakfast, lunch, dinner or between-meal snacks are served around
the clock at each villa's dining area, overlooking scenic Jimbaran Bay.
Cooking School: Housed
in a free-standing building, entry to the Cooking School is through a
stoned paved courtyard and garden area. Enormous glass doors open on to an
Air-conditioning Kitchen area with gleaming state-of-art appliances, and
boasting a large black granite, kidney-shaped preparation unit with induction
hot plates. An adjacent space houses a solid teak table and chairs of modern
Balinese design for cooking school students to savour the variety of items
prepared during the sessions. In the entry courtyard optional dining and
recreational space includes a pantry with items for sale.
The school opens six days a week and is closed on Friday. It offers four self-contained
modules. The Art of Balinese Entertaining, Indonesian Cuisine, Asian Cuisine and
Spa Cuisine to appeal to the novice and experienced
alike. The dedicated school chef in his interaction with a maximum of ten
participants imparts the culinary secrets of Asia during each module.
