San Clemente origins go back to 1131, the year in which the church was
built. Through the years this island has always retained its image as an oasis
of peace, welcoming and cordial.
Today’s complex, enhanced by open-air courtyards, retains all the charm and
atmosphere of the ancient monastery of the Camaldolesi order, built in the
second half of the seventeenth century.
Three restaurants located in the most attractive points of the island offer
tempting fare from the Mediterranean culinary tradition.
The elegant Ca' dei Frati restaurant, with its refined a la carte
menu, serves up delicacies for the palate as well as a magnificent view of
San Marco.
The Le Maschere restaurant features a more sober, informal
environment, always in an atmosphere with a Venetian flair.
The La Laguna restaurant, located near the swimming pool and tennis
courts, is a pleasant, informal place to taste appetising courses from the
buffet service, sheltered from the hot summer sun.
The Gli Arazzi rooms, the perfect place for your breakfast
The Le Conchiglie bar: located by the swimming pool, open only in
the summer time, it is the ideal spot for thirst-quenching drinks,
cocktails, ice-cream, granitas and toothsome snacks.
