The Rooftop Restaurant, was the first panoramic restaurant ever built in Rome. It
offers diners a super bird's-eye view over the Spanish Steps and Rome's domes and
monuments, which add more fascination to breakfast, lunch and dinner and to the traditional
Sunday brunch.
Salone Eva newly renovated in year 2001 is a warm inviting room adorned with an
extensive collection of eighteen and nineteen century folio-size books, responds to all guest
desires from light breakfast, lunches and dinners, as well as afternoon tea. An ideal place to
taste a large selection of Italian wine by the glass.
A corner of paradise “The Terrace”, a precious space for organizing dinners and
elegant cocktails during Summer time up to 25 people watching the spectacular sunset as the
city lights are beginning to light up like infinite birthday candles over this magical and
unique panoramic breathtaking view.
The Hassler Bar, where the exclusive atmosphere of a London Club has been recreated,
serves not only cocktails and drinks, daily from 10 to 2.30 p.m.. Piano Bar in the evening.
During the Summer season the Hassler Bar moves to the Palm Court outdoors, a
magnificent garden in an elegantly appointed liberty atmosphere.
The Hassler Rooftop Restaurant:
At the Hassler Rooftop Restaurant one can savour the superb panorama of Renaissance Rome
that makes breakfast, lunch or dinner breath-taking and enchanting. The Rooftop Restaurant is
the first panoramic restaurant ever built in Rome. Occupying one of the highest spots in the
city center, this intimate restaurant with a soft-toned Venetian decor puts all of Rome at
one's feet. Guests enjoy discovering each and every sight, possibly most of the majestic
Piazza di Spagna with its world-famous Spanish Steps. To the left one
can see the monument to Vittorio Emanuele, dedicated to the unknown soldier, and known as
"the wedding cake monument" for its shape. The twin domes of the Trinità dei Monti
Church dominate the view, other domes of various Roman Renaissance churches lead one's eyes
to St. Peter's Dome on the horizon. Its magnificent silhouettes lit by the first
morning-sun rays, which sets behind it at sundown. Farther to the left, the typical white
Pantheon dome and the Sant'Agnese Church by Borromini on the famed Piazza Navona are
landmarks to be noted - as well as many Roman "palazzos". The menu at the Rooftop
Restaurant adds even more fascination to lunch, dinner or to the Sunday brunch, at this
panoramic site. Our renowned Chef Fernando Pislor adds a special touch to the traditional
Italian cuisine, strengthening the Mediterranean flavor. He makes extensive use of the daily
fresh products that the Roman markets offer. For banquets and other special events,
personalised menus are prepared according to the wishes of the client. The Hassler has joined
many culinary festivals around the world: the Ritz in Paris and the Ritz Carlton in Boston, MA;
the Royal Garden in Hong Kong, the Imperial in Tokyo, the Lanes borough in London, the
Continental in Oslo and the Maksoud Plaza in Sao Paulo to mention few of them. The music played
by a pianist creates a special atmosphere in the Rooftop Restaurant during dinner, which is
served daily from 7.30 to 10.30 p.m. Luncheon hours are from 12.30 to 2.30 p.m., breakfast from
7 to 11 a.m. Jacket and tie are required for dinner only. The restaurant accommodates up to 70
people.
The Hassler's Guest Relations is at guests' disposal for any service, information or
assistance they may require. Prompt, attentive room service; in-house laundry service; beauty

The Hotel consists of 85 Rooms, 13 Deluxe Suites, all with two or three Bathrooms and most
with breathtaking Views of the " Città Eterna ", two Presidential Suites with large
Terrace. The Rooms on the first and second floor were renovated April 2000, and the fourth
floor was completed in March 2001.
All the Rooms & Suites are equipped with modern amenities for the traveling
business person. They feature Color Satellite Television with Pay-TV, Direct Dial Telephones
including PC and Fax Links, Safe Box, Refrigerator / Bar and Individually Controlled Air
Conditioning.
SPECIAL SUITES:
The Penthouse Suite, one of the most beautiful suitsof the Hassler has been renovated
in March 2001 an consists of a large sitting room and a dining area, a bedroom, one main
bathroom in "Naxos" marble with gold plated tabs, two sinks, a bath tub, a shower
cab, separate WC as well as a washing room with one sink and WC. The furniture and the style of
the suite are in the Hassler tradition. The sitting room has a plasma TV, a fax machine, a CD
player, mini bar. The sitting and dining areas are the perfect setting for antique pieces: a
1780 desk, some valuable paintings of the Schools of Tintoretto and Caravaggio, Venetian
mirrors, hand - cut crystal chandeliers, Louis XV chairs. The bedroom, quite spacious and
provided with a second plasma TV, offers a splendid view of the Trinitá dei Monti church and
domes. The large terrace overlooks the city of Rome and is ideal for sun - bathing, for a late
afternoon cocktail with view, or for a private dinner.
The St. Peter's Suite consists of a sitting and a dining area, a bedroom, a
bathroom and a washing room. The Walla of the lounge are covered with clear rose - wood and the
wall rung is light green. The bedroom walls are of a delicate green, with in - laid of gold.
The floors are covered with precious, antique carpets. The terrace running along the entire
apartment is equipped with chaises - longues and tables for an outdoor drink or simply to enjoy
the spectacular view. This suite can be connected with a double room.
The Villa Medici Suite on the same floor as the Penthouse suite, it has been
renovated in 2001 and consists of a light beige-coloured lovely sitting room, a bedroom and two
bathrooms. The rooms are decorated with precious frescoes, refined fabric, marbles and linens.
Moreover, a private staircase leads to a terrace at the eighth floor above, with a unique
panorama over the Eternal City and the Villa Medici garden. From here one can admire the most
enchanting places of the capital, including the Borghese Gardens.
The Trinità dei Monti Suite is a lovely one-bedroom suite overlooking the Spanish
Steps and the Spanish Square. The twin domes of the world famous Trinità dei Monti Church are
so near, that one could almost touch them when leaning out of one of the five small balconies
around the suite. The lounge is all covered with hand-engraved rose wood. This suite can be
connected to one double room.
The Forum Suite has been renovated in April 2000. It has a balcony with view over the
Spanish Steps. The suite can be connected to two double rooms. It has a bedroom, a living room,
a small corner room which can be equipped with office machines, one main bathroom (beige
marble) with two sinks, a bath tub, a shower cabin, a separate toilet, and one washing room
with one sink and a toilet.
The Hassler Suite has been enlarged and completely renovated in April 1999. Its
exquisite setting on the first floor offers view over the Trinità dei Monti square, the obelisk
and the Spanish Steps. The suite can be connected to two double rooms. It has been furnished
with French silk, soft rugs, decor and stuccoes. The living room and the three bedrooms are
furnished with magnificent paintings and antiques all of discreet colors such as white and
beige. Walls are covered with fabrics of warm and relaxing colors, especially chosen to
emphasize the beauty of the panorama: from the obelisk of Trinità dei Monti to the Spanish
Steps. The bathrooms are equally beautiful: the master bathroom, on the green marble floor, has
a wonderful mosaic, while a Jacuzzi, under the vaulted roof and among plants, evokes the
atmosphere of ancient Roman Baths. The Hassler suite has been decorated by Astrid Schiller
Wirth - wife of the General Manager, Roberto E. Wirth - caring for every detail by mixing the
elegance and the atmosphere of times past with the comfort and technology of the present
days.
