Open: April - October... The Hotel Leto is a small charm Hotel, ideal for relaxation and at the same time very near the centre of Hydra nightlife.

General Information

Welcome to the island that has inspired poets, writers and artists, produced great sea admirals and given Greece no less than five Prime Ministers since the Greek War of Independence of 1821.

As there are no motorized vehicles on the island, it really does have a feel of being left untouched by the modern world although you will find all the “real world” conveniences.

The Hotel Leto is a small charm Hotel, ideal for relaxation and at the same time very near the centre of Hydra nightlife.

A first class hotel on the idyllic island of Hydra, Hotel Leto, offers the full range of services that travellers expect to find in a top quality hotel.

Attention to detail and the comfort of guests from their greeting at reception, the cleanliness of their rooms to the standard of the public areas of the hotel, is the highest priority.

Location

The Hotel Leto is located in the centre of the village, 200 metres from the port.

Hydra is a small rocky island in the Argo-Saronic Gulf, south east out of the Athens port of Piraeus.

It is very cosmopolitan, safe and one of the easiest of the Greek islands to get to. Best of all it is a preserved national monument and has retained all its charm and quaintness.

The journey from Athens International Airport to the port of Piraeus takes maximum one hour by using the brand-new Athens subway metro.

A hydrofoil journey from Piraeus to Hydra takes between 1 – 1.5 hours depending upon whether a stop is made at the island of Poros on the way.

Guest Services

The public areas of Hotel LETO are all bright and airy with elegant, comfortable furniture.

To the right of reception there is a sitting room with tables and chairs, intimately grouped, where you can meet with your friends and family before going out to dinner.

The bar to the left of reception also has a television for friends to sit together to catch up with the latest news or watch a sporting event.

Large double doors lead from the sitting room to the walled, patio garden where guests can enjoy the sun with friends or a quiet read on their own.

The dining room is on the ground floor and an excellent breakfast is served to guests each morning.

Fitness room, Sauna, Hydromassage are also available for the clients' comfort.

The safety standards and attention to customer comfort at Hotel LETO are very thorough and kept in perfect working order.

Throughout the hotel there are emergency alarms, extinguishers and lighting.

Accommodation

Each room at Hotel LETO has its own character with different layouts and flooring.

The rooms are all large enough to be set up as twin or triple rooms if you want an additional bed added for a child or third person.

The bedrooms at Hotel LETO are all a good size and are furnished with antique style furniture.

Rooms are either standard, superior or deluxe.

All rooms have

  • dressing table with a stocked mini-bar,
  • air-conditioning,
  • fitted hair-dryer and vanity unit in the en-suite shower or bathroom,
  • TV,
  • direct dial telephone,
  • plenty of built in wardrobe and drawer space,
  • personal room safe for valuables.

All the bathrooms or showers are to a high standard, fully tiled and supplied with plenty of fluffy towels.

Superior rooms are generally larger and have two beds made up next to each other.

Superior and deluxe rooms have a bath instead of a shower and some of them have balconies.

  • The bedroom corridors are fitted with movement sensors that automatically switch on the lights so that guests don’t have to fumble in the dark. The corridors which are floored with wooden floors have carpet runners, which reduces the noise of guests walking to their rooms so those who are already sleeping are not disturbed.

There are numerous paintings and prints decorating the walls which reflect the taste of the family in arts.

*** Almost unique on the islands, Hotel LETO has created a wheel-chair friendly room: separate entrance, acres of space and two bathrooms, one adapted and one for an able partner. ***
