Aristi is a village in the municipality of Central Zagori. Built at a height of 650m. above sea level, Aristi is 17kms far from the city of Konitsa and 48kms from the city of Ioannina.
One of 48 villages in Zagori (the so-called “Zagorohoria”), Aristi is ideally situated for a visit to the Vikos and Aoos gorges, the Voidomatis river and the villages of Papigo, Ano Pedina, Dilofo, Monodendri, Bourazani and the Mastorohoria of Konitsa.
Half an hour away by car from the city of Ioannina, the hotel is the appropriate starting point for a visit to the Castle, the archaeological Museum and the old city of Ioannina, the ancient theatre of Dodoni and the beautiful Byzantine churches of the area.
Within a day-trip distance is the old city of Gjirokaster and the remarkable archaeological site of Butrint, the only UNESCO protected heritage site in Albania, on the seaside opposite the coastline of Corfu.
Salvia Restaurant
"Salvia" is an indigenous herb of the Zagori area which is used with great care along with other local ingredients in our kitchen to prepare local specialties daily.
The meat is from free range stock of the area, Zagori hunters provide the wild boar, the mushrooms and wild greens in our salads are collected from the mountain sides of Ipirus, cheese is bought from local small farm producers and the dough for the famous Zagori pies is kneaded and opened by hand. Our cellar is filled with a wide variety of fine Greek wines.
