The special and unique charm of the Hotel is created by harmonious ensemble of the various
Buildings connected by underground passageways. The Schwarzwaldbaus is classified as a
historical monument and was built in 1416, rebuilt in 1639.
The Main House, built around 1890, is classified as a historical monument, consists of a
Reception Hall, 35 Rooms, 15 Junior Suites and Suites, five No-smoking Rooms. The
Residence was added in 1978 has Conference Rooms, 15 Junior Suites and Suites.
The Spa & Beauty Pavilion, newly built, opened in August 1999.
The Park Hotel Alder is located in an idyllic setting in the middle of a 40,000 sq.
metres of a private Park belonging to the Hotel with romantic pathways, a small Lake and a game
enclosure. It has its own Helicopter landing pad and as far as we know, it was the only Hotel
in the world with its own 80-metre ski jump. Two years ago the Hotel donated the ski jump to
the local community.

Anyone who has become acquainted with Hinterzarten in summer will love it in winter. A thick
white covering of show blankets the earth and icicles hang like crystals from the branches. The

The Chef's at the Park Hotel Adler are not content with merely preparing superb
meals from the very best ingredients. They conjure up traditional Black Forest dishes, a light
Mediterranean cuisine and of course sumptuous individual creations. Let our Kitchen become a
unique experience for you.
The Hotel has various Restaurant facilities each with a distinctive character and
reflecting a different historical period, for example the cosy Stube from the year 1639,
the Grill with its antique wooden interior, the Club with its comfortable niche,
the Breakfast Pavilion, the French Restaurant with its atmosphere of elegance and
the rustic Adler Wirtshus for regional specialties and small delicacies.
On Sundays the traditional and very popular "Tea Dance" takes place in the Adler
Bar and in the French Restaurant with cake from the Hotel's own Patisserie and
Dance Music played by Luciano. During the season there is also Live Music in the
evenings in the Adler Bar.
In the rustic Adler Wirtshus Restaurant the menu includes many regional specialties
of the Black Forest. The Schwarzwaldhaus, Black Forest House, built in 1639 is where you will
spend your stay if you have booked the Black Forest Package which consists of two days of
quality, nostalgia and tradition.
The cosy Stube dates back to the year 1639 and with its antique wooden furniture and
its comfortable niches invites one to enjoy a sumptuous meal. A varied Wine Menu with First
Class regional Wines from Kaiserstuhl or from the Markgrafler Land rounds out the
culinary event.
