The Madina Oberoi is a modern 5 star deluxe hotel located on the
forecourt of Islam’s second Holy Mosque, the Masjid AlNabawi AlSharief Mosque,
the last resting place of the Prophet Muhammad. Guests come here to offer their
prayers in the Mosque and to pay their respects to the Prophet Muhammad. The
distinctive green dome of the Prophet Mosque can be seen from many of the rooms
and all guest rooms have an uninterrupted view of the Mosque. The call to prayer
can always be heard in the hotel.
The Madina Oberoi was extensively renovated in 2003. The interiors and
all the rooms and suites are richly furnished in the Islamic style and feature
arched windows, and marble bathrooms with gold plated fittings. Every modern
comfort and convenience has been provided in spacious and elegant surroundings.
The Oberoi Madina is located in Madina AlMunawara, Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia. The Hotel is in the city center and overlooking Masjid AlNabawi AlSharief, (The Prophet Mosque), the most important attraction
for visitors of Madina AlMunawara.
Access
By air: Madina airport is a 15 minutes drive from the hotel.
Madina is well connected to Jeddah with daily flights operated by Saudi Arabian
Airlines. The flying time from Jeddah to Madina, or vice versa, is forty minutes.
By road: The drive from Jeddah to Madina takes approximately
four hours to cover a distance of approximately 424 kms.
Al Zahara: Open 12noon to 12 midnight.
Relax here in full view of the Prophet’s Mosque in surroundings rich with
Islamic design and decoration. A variety of teas and snacks are served until
midnight at Al Zahara.
Al Ansar: Open 24 hours.
At the coffee shop on lobby level guests can choose from a wide and ever
changing menu of Arabic and Continental buffets, breakfasts, lunches, suppers
and snacks. Service is quick and friendly
Al Andalous: Open 12.30pm-3.30pm for Lunch Open 7.30pm-11pm
for Dinner.
Al Andalous is the hotel’s ornately decorated grill room for more formal
dining featuring Indian tandoori specialties and Arabic cuisine.
The restaurant is furnished in grand Islamic style.
