The Vergis Epavlis is located on Northern Crete, 14 km south of Heraklion, the island’s capital. It is perched on a hillside near the village of Agios Myronas. The accommodation complex offers spectacular vistas of the Cretan Sea, Mount Youchtas (according to legends, Zeus’s birthplace), the Lassithi mountain range (snowcapped all year round), hills and valleys lush with vineyards and olive groves.
The village of Agios Myronas is built around ancient Rafkos, a settlement that flourished during the Minoan period (ca 1200 BC).
