Open All Year... Chewton Glen is 90 miles southwest of London between the ancient New Forest and the sea. The Hotel is pretty new by that standard. The house only dates from the early 1700s and was remodelled in the Palladian style in the early 1890s. Capt. Frederick Marryat`s famous book `The Children of the New Forest` was written on this site in 1846.
