first true resort to rise on what quickly became the world's famous beach.
Today, after and award-winning restoration, she appears in all her original
turn-of-the-century splendor: a vision in white, a fairy-tale place where the
sun leaves its fingerprints on the floor and languorous chairs on the veranda
make a theatre of the sea. Through the grand columns of the porte cochere, you
enter a private world.
Start your day with a breakfast buffet at the sun-splashed Beachside Café
(also open for lunch and dinner).
For breakfast, afternoon tea, a sunset dinner, or Sunday Brunch, enjoy the
serene, open-air Banyan Veranda or the carefree Banyan Grill and Beach
Bar, both named after the still-thriving Banyan Tree planted there in
1904.
