The Choupana Hills Resort & Spa is situated 10 minutes
from the bustling city of Funchal. Implanted in an enchantingly forested area,
on top of a mountain just above the Botanical Gardens.
To get to Choupana Hills Resort & Spa from the Madeira International
Airport in direction to Funchal, you will go on the highway and take Exit nº
13 where you will also see a sign of Jardim Botanico- Botanical
gardens and Camacha. Leaving the Madeira International Airport turn left. This
will direct you to Funchal. After having gone under a viaduct, continue straight
ahead- downhill for approximately 2 km when you will reach a turn-off on your
right with an indication to the Botanical Gardens and Choupana Hills. Take this
turn-off and continue to the Botanical Gardens which, when you get there, will
be on your left. Directly after the Botanical Gardens turn left and continue
ascending until you reach the Restaurante do Miranda on your right, where you
should also turn right. Continue along this road, which will bring you to a
sharp left bend and an ascending street with trees on both sides. Continue
ascending. You will come across 2 tight curves, one on your left and one to your
right, continue ascending until you find a turn-off to your left- signpost
Choupana Hills, take it and in another 250 meters you will find the Choupana
Hills Resort & Spa.
Xopana Restaurant offers casual all day dining, local
specialties, European favourites and an extensive cuisine.
Basalt Bar is suspended above the Restaurant and offers
guests magnificent views over the Resort whilst enjoying a wide variety of
international drinks and a selection of inspiring, innovative cocktails.
Pool Bar, located in the Spa area, offers its clients fresh
fruit and vegetable juices as well as refreshing drinks and light, creative,
low-calorie meals for lunch.
Lounges: Comfortable and cosy with a feature fireplace. High
Tea is served here in the afternoons.
