The hotel is in a splendid location but the quality does not match the price in any way. Starting with the rooms, the air conditioning is antiquated. It is very noisy and requires constatnt manual adjustment. The units for the air conditioning are falling apart. The bathrooms are also in need of upgrade. The showers were dreadful - no power and a small cubicle with a door which it was impossible to close. All the power sockets were falling off the walls and generally it felt like the hotel was in severe need of an upgrade to bring the standard up to what it really should be. The dinner offering was really disappointing. First, the service was impossibly slow and second, after the first night the food was montonously the same day after day with no concession to people who were on half board. I will write to Relais Chateau to question the entry of the hotel as I really think its inclusion brings into question the basis on which the hotels are judged. We paid what I consider a large sum of money and did not really benefit from the quality which you would expect.

A great hotel, upon arrival a welcome drink awaits. The staff we very helpful and nothing was to much trouble . The service we received down in the beach was impeccable . Value for money a little pricey as half board means something different , depends where you stay. Breakfast and dinner were good. The rooms are well appointed . A short cab ride to Elounda fishing village . Overall a great place.
