In November 1887, restaurateur Carl Kamp made a dream come true. The Hotel
Kamp was born, offering a country on the threshold of independence a taste
of great European cities, luxury and refinement like nowhere else, a level of
service hard to imagine. The Hotel Kamp became an integral part of Finnish
history, blending eastern and western Europe with art, politics and business
life.
Today, after faithful restoration, the Hotel Kamp takes its place once
again in the heart of Helsinki - as genuine and elegant as in the past - an
experience to delight all the senses.
We look forward welcoming you to Hotel Kamp!
HistoryThe fates of the Hotel Kamp and Finland have been closely entwined
during the past one hundred years and the restaurants of the hotel have provided
a beautiful setting for fabulous parties. The identity of the emerging Finnish
nation was blueprinted at the Kamp. Important political issues have been decided
and significant deals closed at its tables.
Hotel Kamp is located opposite to the Esplanade Park, in the finest
shopping area and pedestrian zone of Helsinki. Next door to the Kamp Galleria,
and near Stockmann's Department Store and the Market Place. Close to the South
Harbour and all major cultural sights.

limited by its size.
By expanding the bar hotel Kamp will be able to better serve the growing number
of customers, who wish to enjoy a high class bar experience at the number one
